“I’m Just Like You” is now available!

Nearly four years in the making, The Sparklestone Foundation has just completed I’m Just Like You, the first film to focus on the impact of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis on children.

I’m Just Like You provides an in-depth look at the choices faced by families after they are hit with the news that their young child will be living with a chronic, life-long disease.  What can they expect?  How will they and their child learn to accept and integrate this added burden into their daily lives?

Listen to the voices of young people as they articulate their feelings on camera for the very first time. Join with their families in attempting to make sense out of this challenging condition that may alter the landscape of their lives forever.

The High Definition I’m Just Like You DVD is now available for a $20 minimum donation.
Shipping and handling are free to USA addresses, and sales tax is included. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

I’m Just Like You - Moving Forward

I’m Just Like You is moving forward!

We recently returned from Portland where we interviewed families and kids who live with psoriasis. The National Psoriasis Foundation was instrumental in arranging these interviews and worked with us to create an environment where families felt comfortable sharing their experiences of living with the disease.

Support for this segment of our production was provided by Carol and Mike Laub. We are most grateful for their generous contribution to the project. It will enable us to continue our momentum as we find more families who are impacted by psoriasis. But we need more support!

By contributing to the Sparklestone Foundation you will provide us with the resources needed to complete our film and extend our reach to the greater psoriasis community. All contributions are tax deductible. Feel free to contact us if you’d like to contribute in some way towards the project. Thank You!

We now have a short preview clip of our current work-in-progress, I’m Just Like You - Kids and Psoriasis. Our filming is in high definition video format with a wider aspect ratio, so the preview has been reduced to slightly lower resolution for better compatibility with various TV displays.

For current information about Sparklestone’s project on Psoriasis, and to view the film clip, please visit Sparks - Fred’s Blog.
